Prostitutes in Spain have to wear reflective vests (like highway workers) to reduce traffic accidents.
Police claim the prostitutes are violating traffic laws and are posing a danger to drivers. If they are caught walking on the highway or on the shoulder without a fluorescent vest on, they will have to pay a 40 euro fine.
An estimated 300,000 women work as prostitutes in Spain, where it is legal (pimping is illegal though). Also, 1 in 4 Spanish men have admitted to paying for sex. Prostitutes can even be found on Google Street View in Madrid!
